Challenge
Dusseldorp is engaged in various infrastructure projects, and for each project, they collaborate with their customers and stakeholders to co-create the design. The design team at Dusseldorp has a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the project, but conveying these ideas to the key stakeholders can be a difficult task.
To address this challenge, Dusseldorp employs various tools such as drawings, 3D images, renders, and videos to explain their concepts to the customer. However, despite these efforts, the customers often express their desire to see the design in their own environment. Recognizing this need, Dusseldorp approached Recreate for assistance in turning this idea into a reality.
3D designs combined with highres 360 images from Cyclomedia
In close collaboration with Dusseldorp Recreate has made an automatic pipeline to convert the design of Dusseldorp into a 3D file that we can use. After this, Recreate made an integration with Cyclomedia (a Dutch company whom made 360 images of the most of the Netherlands), to combine the design of Dusseldorp and the Cyclorame of Cyclomedia. Our solutions assures that the design of Dusseldorp will be used as an overlay on top of the 360 image of the real world to assure that customers/stakeholders/residents truly understand the impact of the design. This new world can be showed on multiple devices like: Laptop/Desktop, Cardboard VR on smartphones and in a fully immersive multiplayer VR world.
