ABOUT

About Dura Vermeer

Dura Vermeer is a family-owned company that exists since 1855. They are an independent construction company operating in the Netherlands. They are active in residential construction, non-residential construction, infrastructure and engineering. The core activities include design, development and realization of construction and infrastructure projects, including maintenance, renovation and transformation.

Challenge and solution

For the construction of the Boekelose bridge in Hengelo, Dura Vermeer and Recreate have developed a solution for the Microsoft HoloLens.

Rick Lormans, project manager at Dura Vermeer explains: The entire design of the bridge was developed in full 3D with all the temporary structures, including armaments. This allows us to export the BIM model and import it into the Microsoft HoloLens. In this way, the entire design can be projected outside and the implementers can immediately see where there are any deviations.
