Heineken is a Dutch beer brand based in Amsterdam that was founded in 1864 and turned into one of the most famous brands in the world and a global powerhouse. Known for its signature green bottle with a red star logo, Heineken is all about quality and tradition. Heineken can be found in over 190 countries, making it one of the most internationally recognized beers.

The Challenge

The challenge for Heineken was to find a solution to providing new employees with an informative and interactive onboarding experience before they even set foot in the factory. Previously, newcomers had little to no understanding of the brewing process, the factory layout, or essential safety protocols. This lack of familiarity made it difficult for them to integrate into their new roles right away.

The Solution – Exploring Heineken Through an Interactive Online Platform

To address the challenge for Heineken, we developed an interactive online onboarding platform that gives new employees a virtual tour of the Heineken factory. This platform helps them feel more connected to the company, more informed and ready for their new role before they step inside the building and officially start working.

This online platform for onboarding features an interactive map where users can click around to explore different areas. Through engaging infographics and videos, they can learn key facts about Heineken, navigate the production process, and understand safety protocols.  

To bring the experience to life, the platform was built using Three.js which is a JavaScript library for creating 3D graphics in the browser. By using  Three.js, we were able to develop a visually engaging virtual space that allows for interactive animations and a dynamic experience.
