MAKE Center
MAKE Center is the place in the Central Netherlands where MBO students and professionals in the manufacturing industry work together and learn from each other. You learn, design and create.
Within MAKE Center you work with, among other things, the latest machines. By experimenting and doing, you learn faster. People from the business community are also often present at the MAKE Center so that we can make the close connection between practice and theory. They are happy to tell you about the practice. Feel free to chat with them. You can learn from them how things work in a company. That’s what makes MAKE Center unique!
MAKE Center is an initiative of the ROC Midden Nederland and OBM Midden Nederland to ensure that your vocational training is even better aligned with practice. At MAKE Center we are 100% committed to the influx, promotion and development of professionals in the manufacturing industry. This is how we ensure that you can develop for a lifetime (LLO).

Challenge
MAKE Center want to use innovative solutions in their education programs, and they have asked Recreate to support. The first challenge they had was how to showcase a completely new building to potential students without the possibility of inviting them physically. MAKE Center also wants to be more efficient and reduce the workload of teachers, so they are looking into innovative technologies allowing students to do more themselves.

Solutions
1) HoloLens 2 Remote Assist and Dynamics Guides
- Using the Hololens 2 and Dynamics 365 Remote Assist and Guides students can operate much more independently from their teachers. MakeCenter invested a lot in cutting-edge machinery and using these technologies students explained, in Augmented Reality, how to operate a machine. They can always call a teacher in case of any questions. The biggest benefit is that all students are trained in the same way and fewer teachers can support more students
2) AR App for students
- The Augmented Reality app will allow students to quickly see how a machine within MakeCenter should be used. It has similar content as shown on the HoloLens 2 but in this case, the student can check the information on his smartphone.
3) 360 tour
- Recreate has created a 360 tour to showcase the new MakeCenter building to the world. The tour is primarily made for future students, visitors, and sponsors of MakeCenter. They can also use this 360 tour when they visit exhibitions to show their beautiful location remotely.
